Argelès-Gazost
Situated in the “Vallée des Gaves”, at the meeting point of the “Val d’Azun”, the Cauterets valley, the Luz Gorges leading to the “Pays Toy” and the dual carriage way coming from Lourdes, Argeles Gazost is certainly an ideal base to discover the Pyrenees as a tourist, a cyclist, a rambler or a hiker.
Protected by the surrounding mountains, Argeles Gazost is a small beautifully flowered town which is made up of two parts:
- the Town Center with its traditional market every Tuesday morning, the shops, the tourist office
- the Spa quarters with its idealic English style park which homes the casino (N.B. remarkable architecture can be seen in the surrounding houses)
