The Cirque de Gavarnie

Located in the “Pays Toy”, 39 km from Argelès Gazost going through Luz Saint Sauveur, the Cirque de Gavarnie belongs with its imposing neighbour the “Cirque de Troumouse” to the World Heritage of the UNESCO.
The semi circular rock face, practically vertical with height differences of more than 1500m, makes an almost perfect amphitheatre. Since the XIX century, the Cirque de Gavarnie has become a great tourist attraction of the Pyrenees and has kept its traditions with donkey and horse rides offered to visitors.
